AWSS ROM-P Program

Sires and Dams applying for this award may achieve points  through their offspring by earning the titles/designations listed below.

Sires:
Sires must accumulate 200 points.

Dams:
Dams must accumulate 100 pts.

Conformation points, while valued and appreciated, shall only make up a maximum of 25% of the total points.
For Sires and Dams with 100% of their points coming from conformation, please refer to the ASSA ROM program.

To be eligible for this award, sires must have at least 8 different ROM-P pointed, first generation progeny and  dams must have at least 4 different ROM-P pointed  first generation progeny.

Deceased sires and dams are eligable for this award for 15 years following their death.

Generational impact:

Sires and Dames earn:

100% of the points from each category for all first generation  (kids)
50% for second generation (grandkids)
25% for third generation  (great grandkids)
 

Points awarded as follows:

Only highest achievement in each venue applies.

Points for titles in different venues at the same level can be added together.

A maximum of 4 points can be earned from the 2 point titles

Examples:
A dog with a NA and a NAJ gets 5 points for his/her sire and dam
A dog with a NA and a OAJ gets 7 points for his/her sire and dam
A dog with a CD and a NA gets 10 points for his/her sire and dam
A dog with an OTCh and a HC gets 40 points for his/her sire and dam
A dog with an OTCh and a G-OCH gets 20 points for his/her sire and dam

for good genetic testing results. Points are awarded as follows:

5 Points for each:

(prorated by 50% for dams to represent no more than 15% of the total points earned)
OFA hip certification
vWD clearance- test result required
Eye CERF (current within 12 months)
Thyroid certification- via lab result showing normal TGAA
OFA Elbow Certification

3 points for:

Agility
level 2 CPE "R" title
Conformation
1 conformation point, any venue
Flyball
FDX, TFE (Top Flight Executive)

Award of merit or WD, WB, RWD, RWB, BOB at the sheltie national
1st-4th place win at the obedience invitational, the agility invitational and any agility national with over 50 participants in a given height class.
High in trial at an all breed herding trial (any venue)

Titles must be documented as follows:
Attach copies of title certificates
Attach award report from issuing organization

In the event that a deceased dog has earned this award, application must be made to AWSS within 15 years of the death of the dog.

Only members of the  AWSS, in good standing, are permitted to apply for the ROM-P award.
